One year ago, Tim Slavens captured the attention of the drag radial racing community with his 3.621-second, 217 mph blast down the South Georgia eighth-mile strip to temporarily hold the Radial vs. the World elapsed time record. With an onslaught of Pro Mod-style entries in the class, the record is now well out of reach for Slavens’ steel-bodied ’69 Camaro.
