PETG also known as copolyester is a modified version of PET. The modification is achieved by adding a second glycol during polymerization. The molecular structure is irregular; the resin is clear and amorphous with a glass transition temperature of 88 C (190 F). PETG comes across as a plastic resin belonging to the polyester family that is used for making food, beverage, and the other liquid containers, along with some other thermoforming applications.
