A time switch is also known as timer or a timer switch or timer control. It is a timer that operates an electric switch controlled by the timing mechanism. The switch is connected to an electric circuit operating from mains power, containing through a contactor or relay or low voltage, inclusive of battery-operated equipment in vehicles.
