Michael was born and raised in Port Jefferson, NY on Long Island. Being born less then a mile from the beach, he was instantly immersed in all the water had to offer. At a very young age Michael was sitting on his father's lap steering and sailing their 30’ Catalina. “Learning the responsibility of operating a boat at such a young age had such a positive impact on every level of my life.” After countless trips from Montauk to Martha’s Vineyard, then he knew he had to make boating his career.
