Swartklip is a town located in the Limpopo province of South Africa. Owned by Anglo American, this platinum producing Union Mine is found 15km west of the Northam town in Limpopo and North West provinces of South Africa. The mine operates under a mining right, covering a total of 119km2 in the north-western section of the Bushveld Igneous Complex (BI C), which is the richest source of platinum group metals (PGM).
