The Kanipakam Temple exact location is 11kms away from Chittoor and situated in Irana Mandala. The temple was established in the beginning of 11th Century by Koluthunga Chola I during the Vijayanagara Dynasty.Along the banks of Bahuda River there is lies a small hamlet called Kanipakam.
