What a difference 24 hours makes; as this issue took shape grey skies and rain gave way to sunshine, albeit my walks in and around Winchester remained muddy. Restrictions were lessening and the season suddenly became cheerful, with plants springing up everywhere and green shoots seeming an apt metaphor for post-pandemic life. More
