The garment sector has always been one of the most significant contributors to Vietnam’s fast growing export-oriented economy – representing more than 15 per cent of the nation’s total GDP and 18 per cent of its exports. In spite of the data provided by the General Department of Vietnam Customs favouring exports of computers, electronic products and components by US $ 8.4 billion by May 2017, over US $ 5.6 billion last year, Vietnam’s garment business is fully geared to overcome the challenge.
