This issue focuses on the social construction of “race” and society's assumptions, that it was a biological or even a scientific construct, even though none are factually accurate. This issue gives special attention to the complacency of the biological perspective, while observing both social and biological factors as influential structural barriers in social interactions, and formal and informal social organizations within the American society.
