Anoka-Hennepin Schools is one of 74 school districts and charter schools to receive additional state funding to offer free, voluntary pre-kindergarten beginning in the 2016-17 school year. Thanks to the grant, Anoka-Hennepin Community Education has rolled out a new preschool program, Kindergarten Readiness Preschool PLUS, which enables the district to add additional preschool classrooms at Adams Elementary and Evergreen Park World Cultures Community School.
