What Dorothy Hayden Truscott does so effectively in this book is to teach you how to think at the bridge table. There is not much point in asking you to memorize a series of general rules unless you understand the logic behind them. You cannot solve a difficult bridge problem by rote. The game is too complicated for that. But you can solve a great many problems if you appreciate the reason for the rule and know whether it applies to the particular situation confronting you. 更多
