Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), better known by her stage name Pink (stylized as P!nk), is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and occasional actress who rose to fame in early 2000. She has been described as "the world's most underrated superstar" by journalist James Montgomery and as "one of the most talented artists out there today" by songwriter Kara DioGuardi. The first statement was mentioned after her performance at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where her trapeze performance of "Sober" (which was co-written with Kara DioGuardi) was elected the best of the night by many reviews.
