With the rise in social tension, xenophobia, discrimination and changing governments, sometimes it feels as though our society is taking two steps back instead of a giant leap forward. We have lost yet another great diplomatic icon, witnessed Britian’s historic decision to leave the European Union, and say goodbye to great diplomatic friends.
