The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is effective across the European Union (EU) from 25th May 2018.
It supersedes the 28-member states national data protection laws based on the 1995 Data Protection Directive (DPD).
Any company that stores or processes personal information about the EU citizens within the EU states must follow the GDPR, even if they do not have a business presence within the EU. 更多
