Tonometer is used to measure intraocular pressure of fluid within the eye. This pressure build-up of extra fluid within the eye damages the optic nerve and signals the onset of glaucoma. Glaucoma is a disease of the eye wherein the optic nerve gets damaged. The initial worries of damaged optic nerve could lead to seriousness if not attended early causing early peripheral vision loss and later complete loss of vision. 更多
