Thirunageswaram Temple or Naganathaswamy temple was situated in a small town of Thirunageswaram, which is 10 km drive from Kumbakonam via Manthai- Karuppur main road, in the state of Tamil Nadu. The principal deity here is Lord Shiva.
He is worshipped in the name of “ Naganathar ” locally. This temple is considered to be one among the Navagraha temples in Tamil Nadu. It is dedicated to Raahu, who is said to inflict pain on person.
