Valve tags are not explicitly required by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). However, they can improve facility efficiency and increase safety through visual communication.
Since valves rarely have flat surfaces, an attached tag is an effective means for communication. The tags themselves (as well as the markings on the tag) should be made of material tough enough to endure in the conditions surrounding the location. 更多
