HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, declared 2016 as the Year of Reading. The significance of this theme is one that educators not only understand, but also welcome wholeheartedly, as it speaks to the fundamentals of literacy, which is required across the various subject areas.
