HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, declared 2016 as the Year of Reading. The significance of this theme is one that educators not only understand, but also welcome wholeheartedly, as it speaks to the fundamentals of literacy, which is required across the various subject areas. It also helps to embed a culture of reading for pleasure in society. It is hoped that reading will no longer be seen as a chore, but as a way to enlighten and broaden the mind and feed the soul. 更多
