In the wake of all the media coverage of the listeria scare and the avoidable deaths of scores across South Africa, attention has been drawn to food safety in cold chain distribution. Regulations (Government Notice No. 962 of 23 November 2012) set out the minimum requirements in the handling, storage, distribution, and display of foodstuffs. Unless we produce our own food where we live and eat, we are all reliant on eating food that has travelled along a distribution chain. Еще
