Flood is a common phenomenon of Indian monsoon specially in NE India, where it is associated with devastating landslide. IMD has forecast a normal monsoon in 2018.Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) reports that Excess extraction of groundwater is to blame for the 61% decline in groundwater level in wells in India between 2007 and 2017. IRBMS is working with NGOS for Watershed Development in Jharkhand. There are convenient reason behind watershed problems in India. All are discussed shortly. 更多
